Our First Post :)

A little introduction on this blog. Both based in Jakarta, with Le Brother currently fulfilling his educational endeavors in Sydney, Australia. Since he's on holiday, we'll try to cover as much as we can, then we'll see how it goes from there. :) To start off the first post, we'll upload some pictures of the places we've visited over the last month to give you a hint of what will be served to you in the future!

Saung Greenville - Menteng

One of our favourite go-to places, Saung Greenville. What we noticed is that the seafood in the Menteng branch is fresher than the one in  it's original store, Greenville itself. Our recommended must have dishes in this restaurant is no other than: Black Pepper Crab, Tiram Telor (Pan fried egg with oyster) and Jeruk Kelapa (Orange juice served with coconut flesh).

 Blacklisted - Puri Indah

Tiramisu on the front, and following the current trend, Strawberry Ombre at the back.

The Goods Dept - Pacific Place.

Hummingbird - Kuningan City

Kuningan City, a new mall in town with minimal restaurant choices. Went ahead with this little gem as we've heard nothing but great reviews. The ambiance is great, as what you would have expect out of the new joints opening here and there.

Potato Croquettes - recommended!
It's basically deep fried mashed potatoes filled with ham and cheese, served with a tangy sauce. Since Le Sister loves anything with ham and cheese, anything that incorporates these two ingredients is definitely right up her alley. Another thing to take note of is their plating, with each potato balls on a typical Chinese spoon, it is so much easier to share this appetizer around.

Table8 - Hotel Mulia

Serves mainly Chinese food - Noodle Soups, Stir-fry Vegetables, Dim Sum, and not to forget their mouthwatering BBQ
We, however, find the food at their other half, Orient8, more appealing. Although Orient8 serves lesser dish choice, we find that the food were more memorable. I could use a bowl of their pho right now. But for desserts, hands down Table8 takes the crown.

Another thing, Le Sister likes to bake every now and then, when time allows her to. So we'll also posts snippets of her baking here and there. The last thing she baked were Chocolate Choux Cream, though they could use a little bit more sugar. :)

Until next time :)
